Monday night saw us taking the long trip to Chesterfield at their new venue, a rather nice pub called The Three Merry Lads. The room upstairs, where they play their matches, was quiet and spacious enough, though the lighting wasn’t quite top notch. This latter wasn’t the reason for my lost game though, which was in fact due to my own stupidity and my opponent’s ability to spot same!

Following my very early demise, my team-mates dug in and saved the club’s honour, so well-done them!
