• Six round Swiss. One round per calendar month. First round to be completed by December 31st.
• Games are held at a venue decided by Black - this is usually, but not exclusively, a club venue or a player's home.
• The time control is 24 moves in the first hour, followed by 12 moves per half hour - with the possibility of adjournment.
• The Sheffield Champion receives the Bruce Trophy.
• Grading and Junior trophies also awarded.
• Entry Fee - £2 adults/£1.50 juniors.
