I have now posted the final results of the WCBCSC for 2012-2013. I have also posted the problems and studies used, with their solutions.

I fear that I was over-optimistic in stating in an earlier post that there would be road-works in Waterthorpe in a day or so. That was over three weeks ago and I still do not have a working telephone.

Talktalk replaced the damaged modem last Friday, so that my broadband service is now working, but could not get my telephone working. BT have been here this morning and have concluded that a new cable needs to be installed. So, there will be road-works in Waterthorpe in a day or so.

I have emailed all electronic WCBCSC competitors with solutions, results, and, where appropriate, invitations to and details of, the Final at Eton College on 23rd February. However, those to Neil Sutherland and Geoffrey Cooper have bounced back as undeliverable, so if they are reading this, they should contact me please. Now that I can leave the house I shall post out to those postal entrants who included an SAE. Those who didn't include an SAE will have to wait.

I have posted here a spreadsheet of competitors, controllers and guests for the Final. I shall keep this list up-to-date as solvers reply to their invitations.

Talktalk rang this morning to cancel their engineer's appointment. It seems they can't get to Sheffield from North Yorkshire because of the snow. Appointment reset for next Friday. If the Talktalk engineer serving Sheffield is based in North Yorkshire, I am beginning to understand why it takes three weeks to restore a completely broken service.

I have not posted out any invitations yet - trying to save money on photcopying and postage - but I will send them by Royal Mail if I still don't have a broadband and telephone service by the end of Friday.
